Roulette BetsOne of the great things about roulette is the wide range that you can make and that you can never become bored while playing roulette. Players can put a variety of ‘inside’ bets and ‘outside’ bets. The pays-out odds for every type of bet are based on its chance. The table generally imposes maximum and minimum bets and the rules generally used individually for all players ‘inside’ and ‘outside’ bets for each spin. For ‘inside’ bets at the tables, some casinos can use separate table chips of different colors to decide players at the table. Players can continue to put bets until the dealer proclaim “no more bets” or “rien ne vas plus”. Inside BetsThese bets are named as Inside Bets because you make the bet buy putting your chips inside the betting grid. These are usually higher payout bets and higher risks. In other words, these bets are for roulette players who like to gamble. Straight-Up Bet- a bet on a single number with 0 or 00. You make this bet by putting your chips directly on the number. A winning bet pays off 35 to 1. in French this is called as “en plein”. Split Bet- a “split” bet on two neighboring numbers. The number can be adjacent vertically like 26 or 29, or horizontally like 26 and 27. You can make this bet by putting it on the line between the two numbers. A winning bet pays off at 17 to 1. Street Bet- a street bet is a bet put on 3 numbers in a horizontal row, like 25, 26 and 27. You make this bet; you place your chips on the line at the end of the row. A winning bet is pays off 11 to 1. Corner Bet or Square Bet- a bet on 4 numbers that make a square like 26, 27 29 and 30. You make this bet by putting your chips on the corner where the 4 numbers gather. A winning bet pays off 8 to 1. Line Bet- A bet on 6 numbers including two rows of three numbers, for example 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30. You make this bet by putting your chips at the end of the 2 rows on the line between them. A winning bet pays out 5 to 1. Five- Number Bet- a bet on 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. This bet can be made in American roulette bet only. A winning bet pays out 6 to 1. Outside BetsOutside bets are placed in the different betting areas around the outside of the betting grid. They are usually lower risk and lower payout bets. Column Bet- a bet on completes the vertical columns of twelve numbers. A winning bet pays out 2 to 1. Dozen Bet- a bet on any the first dozen (numbers 1 to 12), second dozen (numbers 13 to 24), or third dozen (numbers 25 to 36). A winning bet pays out 2 to 1. Color bet- this bets pays out 1 to 1, and bet on either the red or black numbers. Odd/Even Bet- this bets pays out 1 to 1, and a bet on either the odd or the even numbers. Low/High bet- this bets pays 1 to 1, a bet on either the low numbers (1 to 18) or the high numbers (19 to 36). |
